Marketing Your Indie Game Throughout Time and Space

In-Person Day 2 - 16:00 - 17:00
Language: English (accompanied with Mandarin/Chinese subtitles.)

Being an independent studio is difficult already, and it only gets harder when you factor in having to figure out how to find players, build a community, and market your game with limited time and budget. What goes into discoverability and community building, especially when you're starting from nothing? What core activities should you focus on? What are players, press, and influencers looking for, and how do you appeal to them? This talk dives straight into what it means to get your game noticed by players from 4 core stages of development: pre-production, the announcement, the waiting time, and launch. From finding your key audience to social media management and beyond, everything you've wanted to ask about indie game marketing will be discussed.

Audience members will learn what goes into marketing an indie game, plus best practices and actionable items for building their community.
